Morning, it was time to wake up. The sun was already high in the sky making the air dry and the sand hot, Louis was the first one up. The cat jumped a couple of times on Odin’s back to wake him up ”Wake up sunshiiiineeeeee!” he laughed shouting that. Odin simple shacked his head and yawned, seems the rest was still a little sleepy.

He started moving around and the cat jumped of his back stretching ”That was a goooood sleep, you sure have a comfy back Odin!” Louis smiled. The red caracal started walking around, looking for his brother. As it was morning time, Walter was probably sleepy as hell, being up all night used to the darkness. The sunlight is basically alarm clock saying “it’s time to sleep”

The charcoal caracal was lying under a palm tree yawning, not that hard to notice, took a moment for Louis to run over to him and bite his ear in a playful manner ”Walter we’re moving today!” he smiled trying to keep his brother up, yet the older cat still seemed sleepy ”Nah… I’m tired” Odin came over to them curious of the situation. ”What’s the problem?” he lifted his brow while Louis looked at him ”Walter was on the night duty so he’s tired, what do we do?” the white stallion flicked his tail thinking for a moment, then smiled ”Well hop on my back, your brother had a nap so you can as well” The charcoal caracal smiled at him and hopped swiftly onto his back, later curling up in a ball ”Thanks Odin”

In that time the two mares seemed too woken up, yet they were chatting quietly as if hiding some big secret. Odin with his keen sense of hearing caught up just a couple of words like ”Maybe we can keep her?” he walked over slowly to the two girls and huffed to inform them he’s close. ”You two hiding something?” he pinned his ears forward listening to any noise.

Grace looked at him and smiled as if she was about to say please. ”This little kitten was sleeping next to me, I noticed her when I woke up” true, there was a little caracal kit ling on the sand next to the cremello mare. Lightning also smiled ”She’s so cute, come on Odin we already have the two guys why can’t we let her into the band?

Odin looked a little confused, with one caracal on his back, the other one close by. He sighed ”Maybe wake her up first?”

Didn’t take the mares too long to do that, Lightning gave the kitten a small nudge on the head, the kitten woke up with a yawn and looked at all the horses with big eyes.

Louis came closer and looked at her curiously ”Awww you are so cuteeeeee” the little kitten hissed at him and bat her paw. Seems someone isn’t a cutesy girl ”I’m not cute!” she ended that with an angry huff. Louis simply chuckled ”Feisty aren’t we? What’s your name kit?” the little fluffball hissed again yet she did answer ”Cocoa..” Lightning smiled and pushed away Louis as he didn’t seem to have the calm personality to talk to a little kitten ”So Coco, can I call you that? How did you get here?”

Cocoa fluffed up her fur and replied ”Yes and. I got lost, my mom didn’t come back to the den so I looked for her and I didn’t know how to come back so I came here and fell sleep” Grace pulled her ears down with a gasp. ”My goodness, you’re all alone and you managed to come here all by yourself? You’re so brave”

Odin knew where this was heading, seeing how the two mares got completely absorbed by the baby kit and he sighed ”Alright I know where this is going ladies, so Cocoa would you like to join us? We are simply an odd band of horses and cat. You can always say no” the kitten got up and stretched. ”Sure!” the kitten replied happily, as well and the two mares got up they were also happy with this decision. Took the whole band about 20 minutes to get ready, small drink, scratch, grooming and now all ready to go. Walter already asleep, Louis was hyped and the girls were just enjoying the time guiding the little kitten. Odin did hear all their chats on how the little caracal is brave and will grow up to be strong. He simply sighed and said to himself ”Mares” later on starting to trot so the rest of the band would be moving along.
